Writers are born, but successful writers are entrepreneurs. If you are pursuing traditional publishing you need a platform. Writing is a craft but publishing is a business.

If you are an indie publisher you will want to plan ahead for a book launch. We recommend the Secrets to a Successful Book Launch Toolkit.

Well worth the small investment.

Paula Pyle, you and I connect on FB. I first met Deborarh and Jeff about 15 years ago. You're a good match.

That is a great idea. By the way, Micro Publishing Media, Inc is in beta testing. Yay. We will be announcing our launch soon. We are looking for niche titles for our many imprints.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I'm a 20+ year veteran of the media and publishing world, and have been a professional writer most of my life. I hope you'll check out the platform I've built for "authorpreneurs". It's called Bublish. It's the world's only cloud-based, end-to-end publishing system with integrated brand-building, data-gathering and discoverability features. There's a 30-dday free trial, so I hope you'll check it out at Happy to answer any questions you might have. You can also sign up for our free webinars, which focus on marketing and the business of publishing for authors.

I think Net Galley is a fabulous idea if you can shell out for it. I'm very interested in marketing options for the "little guy." Lately, I've been wondering if 3 or 4 authors/publishers could band together to purchase advertising (say a page in a publication) that would showcase each of their books. Possible?

Hi, my name is Larissa and I am a book blogger at The Howling Turtle. While I am not looking for books to review at this time, I am always looking for books to make  some type of post about. If you'd like to learn more about what services I provide or how to contact me, you can find that HERE.
