I'm so sorry! I think I sent all of you a message rather than posting this as a discussion here. My question was, as a first time novelist, I wondered if there was a word count limit that agents and…Continue

Hi, Meenu and Janis!  If either of you (or anyone else in this group) would like reviews of your books done, please don't hesitate to contact me.  In addition to writing fiction, I also review it.  You can check out my reviews on  I love women's lit as well as historical fiction -- I've just started re-reading Doomsday Book by Connie Willis as part of the European Reading Challenge.

I like historical fiction a lot - but I must admit I don't seek it out. Usually someone will recommend it to me and then I devour what they recommend. Too much to do in my day seems like to seek out all the genres I like to read. What I do seek out is Sci Fi. and yes - I am in that group. GRIN

I  enrolled my three metaphysical ebooks in this KDP program, but my fiction is posted on Smashwords too and I can't make up my mind if it is worth while to take it off of Smashwords since they provide it to other book sellers in time.  But I really don't think many readers look at Smashwords for their ebooks or even like Kobe, because you need a Kobe reader to read their books.

Thanks to Joy and Meenu for the nice comments and a happy new year to you both. If you are intrigued by the title Satan'a Whiskers Joy, it is the name of a rock band with which I played in the nineteen-sixties, sorry nothing to do with the paranormal at all.

Happy New Year all! I write realistic, women's fiction:) And Roy, all the best for your book.

I write mostly historical fiction at the moment. Does anyone here like historical fiction?

Roy, I love the title, "Satan's Whiskers." It's so intriguing!

Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year, and thank you for allowing me to join the group. I am the author of two non'fiction titles and two novels. My first novel Weekend in Amsterdam is currently available as a paperback on Amazon and my second novel Satan's Whiskers will be available early in the new year.
